Are you using Docbook or some other XML schema with XML Mind? You should
be able to use the link element for linking within the file, and ulink
for external links. To use ulink, insert the element and then specify
the URL in the properties dialog on the right side of the screen. You
can also link to IDs within the same file with the link element.

Subject: How to add Cross References in XMLMind, XXE editor
Hi All
I need some info on adding cross references.
We have been introduced to a new XML editing tool for documentation
without
any training as such considering our familiarity with Epic Editor.
The software we have been provided is *XMLmind V 2.8sp1* (free edition),
it
seems to be quiet challenging.
I am finding it little difficult while applying some styles to the
content,
unlike Epic Editor where on pressing enter we get to view the list of
element applicable.
I am clueless about how to add a cross reference pointing to a section
within the book.I understand each chapter stands out as a single file in
the
folder along with the book.xml.
So ideally I want to add a link to another chapter from a section in
previous chapter.
I tried both 'link' and 'ulink', but unable to point to the section. May
be
I am doing a mistake somewhere.
Can anyone who have used XMLmind, guide me in this?
