> Yea, well, messaging is another abomination, but it seems the
> marketing people hold sway.
What part is the abomination? The word "messaging" or the new technology
that it describes that does not have a descriptive term, otherwise?
What do you call the form of communication of sending someone a message
through a messaging service? There is "texting," which refers to sending
text messages through phones and other means with SMS, but what is sending a
message through any means, such as instant message, SMS, picture message
(not text only), chat, or others?
Must people be specific when they say they will send a message and specify
that they will IM, text, or send some other form of message to a person?
What is messaging called if "messaging" is an abomination?
