Home businesses and older computers? (take II)

Dan Goldstein was confused by my statement that "We mostly boot into  
Vista [for our dual-boot computer] only to apply Windows updates and
download new virus/antispyware/firewall updates...": <<What updates  
and downloads *can't* be downloaded into Win XP? We use it for  
everything right now -- MS updates, daily virus definitions, spyware  
updates, etc.>>

My bad for not being clear: We boot Vista so we can update Vista and  
the associated software. We rarely boot Vista to actually use it for  
anything other than to ensure that Vista itself is up to date.  
Needless to say, we keep XP patched to the gills every time we boot XP.
