Now entering the 4th dimension

Hi All,

We're following the *Chicago Manual of Style *in writing to the medical
community. That said, the marketing folks like "3D" (thinking it's more
"progressive"), whereas all of our engineering docs, SOPs, etc., use "3-D".
We also reference 2-D and 4-D.

My own take is that while 3D may be readily comprehended, a reader may
stumble—if even for a moment—on 2D and 4D.

Your thoughts?
