I don't know what technical writers Pogue is working with, but I became
this organization's writer specifically because of my ability to
*translate* the jargon tossed around by *developers.*
Based on the discussions here on TECHWR-L, I am sure that many of you
could make similar statements.
Perhaps he thinks that developers-who-throw-documentation-together are
the same as *real* technical writers.
Somebody needs to show this guy the light. Volunteers?

There you have it, folks: All tech writers are self-aggrandizing, lazy
creatures of habit. None of them care about communicating effectively
with their target audiences.
It takes a gutsy journalist like David Pogue to reveal what an
