Somewhere back in ancient history, somebody
apparently understood this, which is why most
management titles refer to managing things
("engineering," rather than "engineer,"
"technical publications," rather than "technical
writer.")
I often wonder what happened to those people.
They were probably "rightsized" into retirement
by some beancounter with an MBA.
