I can relate to the engineers in fear of persistent TWs. :)

However, I can also atest that face-to-face contact 5 days a week is not
necessary, and a remote writer can do very well, as long as the writer has
FULL access to the product (either at the writer's site, or via VPN), is a
digger and has multiple modes of communications to SMEs and other
stakeholders.
