I never said that I believed, "someone who uses "poor" grammar and usage
is less than intelligent." Please go back and read what I said in
context.
And I totally agree with your sentiment. I would also add that there are
different types of intelligence, and many of them are not evidenced by
correct grammar.

I disagree. There are some very intelligent people who never went to
school (because they perhaps couldn't afford it) and so their grammar is
poor, but they are still intelligent.
