This is a lot like sitting in a meeting watching a
couple of writers drag the rest of the group
through an arguement over some little-used feature
of the dept's document template that has deteriorated
into a personal shouting match. The underlying subject
may be related to the reason everyone is there, but
the only reason anyone outside of the dispute is
paying any attention is that they're curious about how
long it's going to take for the group's manager (in this
case, the list admin) to knock on the table a few times
and say,"schedule yourselves a sidebar on this and
let's move on."
I've already lost track of how long ago I would have
ended this in one of my meetings.
