Well, it is definitely ducking or defeating a time limit.
As Gene points out in his recent post, it may lead to your being able to
buy the software, rather than being defeated by a time-limited install
and maybe a bunch of other stuff going on in your life.
To some extent, the 'honesty' depends on your intent/purpose?
hmm, that sounds like the 'situational ethics' that some of us sometimes
rail against.
bother.
Well, as my Dad used to say:
