What I'm asking is the supposed justification or reason behind "It
seems that those systems are actually doing something that the police
do to try and break criminals in a hostage situation"
-----------------------
Okay, I get you now. You want me to substantiate my claim that forcing the user to continually make choices is in fact a technique police use to break people down. Well, it wasn't actually *my* claim, but rather the claim of the aforementioned article ion TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION. I have all my back issues and could come up with the citation, but not right now. As time permits, I'll look for the citation and post it here.
