links to Web page in PDF don't work after installing 7.1.1 patch
Subject:links to Web page in PDF don't work after installing 7.1.1 patch From:"Mary Elaine Lora" <mlora -at- fugro-jason -dot- com> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 26 Mar 2009 03:55:41 +0100
I installed the Acrobat Professional 7.1.1 security patch. Now links to Web
sites in the PDF do not work. Is this coincidence, or are other people
having trouble after installing the patch?
Here's what I did:
(1) Created a hypertext link in a FrameMaker document ("Go to URL" link).,
and then saved the Frame doc as a PDF. The link works in the Frame doc but
does not work in the PDF. I get an error message saying "Authorization
Failed."
(2) Created a link directly in Acrobat ("Go to Web page" link). The link
fails with the same error message, "Authorization Failed."
(3) Opened an older PDF document with links that used to work. The links now
fail with the same error message.
I've checked and rechecked the link but can't see anything wrong. Any ideas?
