logistical tech problem: blocked e-mails

hello,

i was previously a member of this list -- since then, there have been
problems with gmail and not all e-mails have been getting through, a
difficulty in a job search when interviews may be set up via e-mail rather
than by phone.

does anyone have suggestions about another e-mail provider than gmail, or
have you had similar problems with e-mail of whatever system?  e-mails
regarding editing projects or regarding job searches, e-mails from family
members, friends, and colleagues.

sorry to interrupt the discussion with something this mundane.
