As I read yesterday's digest, your posts about clichéd terms to avoid suddenly reminded me of a book idea I'd had a few years ago.
Picture this: a murder mystery set in a large corporation where a dead body has been found in the lobby one Monday morning. It's (gasp) the body of a senior executive, the man in charge of leveraging the paradigm.
I'd intended to write all dialogue entirely in corporate buzzwords, with the amateur detective (a new grad on her first gig, who hadn't yet "drunk the Kool-aid" as one poster put it. :) ) having to decipher the intended meanings (if, indeed, there are any).
One of these days...At the time, the working title for this novel was "SOX and Violence" but I guess it's past its prime these days.
That dog won't hunt. You may need a sea change in your thinking. Then
you can ramp up and be more impactful.
