Hmm...So SPAM is the real problem. Well that, at least partly, is the
proverbial horse of a different color. Gizmo's "Best Free" series also
has some evaluations to help weed through the flock of
anti-spam/anti-spyware possibilities. You might also want to poke the
archives of Windows Secrets or langa.com for some thoughts on approaches
and best practices that take a more preventive approach and help to
avoid setting yourself up for spam to begin with. I'd suggest http://langa.com/newsletters/2005/2005-01-27.htm#4 as one place to
start.

Oh, the professional aspect: I am trying to find every way possible to
stanch the flood of spam. No matter how carefully I reserve an account
for professional use only, it quickly fills up with junk. I am trying to
plug every hole, and I figured anonymous web browsing might help.
Of course, I frequently work from home and don't have an IT department
to keep on top of this stuff. So, it's all up to me.
