There are tons of scripts out on the web for random phrase generators,
photo randomizers, and other gizmos that can be entertaining and much
better than hitting a "coming soon" or a page of ads. Maybe compile a
bunch of phrases that are both fun and yet on-topic for what your site
will be based on. This way you can even start using the url in your
signature and the phrases can act as teasers.
