I'm the oldest non-admin person here. I am at least 20 years older than
the engineers whose work I document, and a half decade older than my
boss and his boss.

This causes me no direct trouble - someone is usually willing to explain
the geek pop culture references I didn't get at first. The
preponderance of young healthy people means that the company can afford
much better health insurance than my previous workplace, whose workforce
was heavily tilted toward experienced and seasoned professionals. If
your consulting company sells staying power and long-term expertise, you
end up with a workforce that is more expensive to insure.
