When I write, I usually write about technical subjects. Ergo Technical Writer.
When I write for the purposes of training (ie, designing the
education incorporating more than just printed materials), I am
designing training materials. Ergo Training Developer.
But mostly I write for the print or electronically-distributed media,
so Technical Writer, then, is a badge worn proudly and appropriately.
Why fix what's not broken?
