The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Text should be kept to a minimum on a PowerPoint slide; too many people
include long sentences, or even paragraphs in their PowerPoints. Even
worse, some people actually read off their bullets.
Your points should be listed in a concise fashion, and the slides don't
need to - and shouldn't - tell the whole story. That's what *you're*
there for. Leave a little mystery in your written points, and your
audience will need to listen to *you* to hear the details that you're
presenting.

I have to agree that PPT presentations can be really boring. To those of
you who do training and public speaking, what are your tips for creating
interesting presentations?
