Subject:Style guide for Environment, Health, and Safety? From:Christina <c -dot- s -dot- eftekhar -at- gmail -dot- com> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Wed, 26 Aug 2009 10:33:12 -0400
Hello whirlers.
I am currently a technical writer / document manager at an EHS
department of a pharma company. I am harmonizing procedures, web guidance,
manuals, etc. for a world-wide audience (R&D scientists primarily, EHS
staff and regulators secondarily).
I cannot find which style guide is standard or even a preference for EHS
writers (I searched in the archives but didn't find what I was looking for).
I have CMoS, APA, and MLA on my desk. If you are in an EHS (or other OSHA-
or EPA-regulated, or even engineering) field, what style guide(s) do you
use? Do you know of an industry standard style guide?
Thanks for your comments and thoughts.
