According to content on the Net, OpenOffice 3.1 is supposed to be able
to handle DOCX files. However, Sarah Stegall has reported, on this
list, having major problems with the master document feature in OOo
Writer 3.1; that is supposed to be fixed in 3.2. If you don't use the
master documents feature, you might want to try out OOo 3.1's support
for DOCX.
