Subject:Re: MS Word 07 running headers and footers From:Suzanne Chiles <suzchiles -at- gmail -dot- com> To:Kim Nylander <docbox -at- docboxconsulting -dot- com> Date:Tue, 29 Sep 2009 10:02:34 -0700
I just did this yesterday, so it is fresh in my mind!
You can do this by adding fields in your headers and footers. I'm working on
template that adds in, automatically, the name of the document (using a
style I created called Title) and the names of sections in my document
(Headings 1).
Put your cursor where you want the text to display
Insert > Quick Parts > Field.
In the Field dialog box, choose the Links and References category.
Click Style Ref.
Choose the style name assigned to the text your want.
Click OK.
This is working very well for me. Let me know if you need more help.
