For a good intro to using Twitter, texting, and other Web 2.0 technologies see the forthcoming (2010) book (yes, it's hard-copy): _Introduction to Web 2.0_, by Alan Evans and Diane Coyle. I recently reviewed it for an upcoming issue of "Technical Communication." It's a bit pricey at about $67, but it also includes a CD-ROM and a website that could be very useful.
