Tempting, but only until I realize that I'd be carrying two devices... 

Like, about 20 minutes from now, when I head out for a noon jog around the run-off pond, have the big heart-attack, and need to make my spasming, clutching fingers punch 9-1-1 on... a netbook??  With no WiFi nearby?

Nuh-uh!


The idea is to have just one device to carry. 

Until then, I carry a low-end phone and do my keyboard-ish stuff on my MacBook Pro.

Even when the smartphones (and the services) get good enough, I'll have to carry reading glasses, to see what I'm doing on the damn little screens. 

How's work coming on those heads-up display glasses (contacts?) and typing/gesturing gloves?
