At the Dawn of Time (1969) I received a Panasonic cassette player/recorder
for my 8th grade graduation. It came with a manual and a list ordered by
state of authorized repair places in the US. Rhode Island had a special
state heading that looked like this:

Phode Island
^insert R

Maybe this was a formative experience in my becoming a TW.
