You cannot make a square image fit a rectangular box without incurring some
distortion in one dimension. You can, however, decide to trim some from the
left and right edges to get it to fit. An alternative, if you don't want to
lose any portion of the original image, is to insert the square image on the
page and fill the remaining space with a solid color or whatever.
