The thing with transparency is that all the pixels to be rendered as
transparent need to be the SAME color. Often you might capture something
where the background *APPEARS* to be the same color, but in fact it is
hundreds of different shades of a similar color. In this case you get
transparency to work but not well. You still see blotchy areas. Usually
I will flood fill (or attempt to) the area with an unusual color such as
hot pink. That will give you a clue as to whether or how well the
transparency will work.
