In Options, turn on the Developer tab. (This tab will appear on the right
side of the list of tabs). Close Options, select the Developer tab, and look
for Template...you can then assign your template.
I have been blessed with never having to use Word as a primary authoring
tool. Now I need some help from some of you less fortunate than I. ;-)
I have a very ugly RTF file. I would like to associate a Word template file
with the RTF to get the correct formatting. The help gives me lots of
instructions on how to create a template and where to store it for use on
new docs but I can't find a thing about associating a template to an
existing file. Surely Word allows that. Right?
