The example you cite is truth-neutral. That's not exactly the same as being untrue.

Information need not be true. For example, one definition of
information -- to paraphrase MW11 -- is: the attribute inherent in and
communicated by one of two or more alternative arrangements of
something (like nucleotides in DNA or bits of data).
So, for example, the information communicated by a certain string of
ASCII characters might be "The moon is made of green cheese." ...RM
