Links vs Hypertext vs Hypertext Links

If you see the phrase: "Click the hypertext link" - what do you think of?

Is there a difference between:

Links

vs

Hypertext

vs

Hypertext Links
????

Client advised "hypertext links" because the links are not "hard links"

Any thoughts?
