Subject: chapter TOCs in Word 2007
I had to merge a large number of Word 2003 chapter files into a single Word 2007 document. (Actually, the merged document is still in 97-2003 format.)
Along the way, I am giving up on chapter level TOCs. Does anyone have an efficient solution for chapter level TOCs in a fairly large Word document? After carefully removing embedded graphics and re-inserting them by link, the document weight still comes in at 3.2 MB.
By the way, step and page numbering still seem to work.
This is one of my few Word projects where I work. I normally use RoboHelp.
