Hi folks,
Word 2007. Adobe Distiller 8.
Got a strange problem with my Word Footnotes. I've got a 1000-page document that is working fine in Word. There are about 700 footnotes throughout this beast, and they all link together well in Word.
But when I convert the doc to PDF, most of the footnotes go haywire. A few work as they should, but most of them seem to be sending me off in all directions. To other footnotes, to the beginning of a random chapter...or to the very end of the document. Some don't seem to link anywhere at all.
Has anyone seen this problem before? Or do you have a suggestion for fixing it? We're supposed to publish this today, and all looked good until we discovered the screwy links.
Cheers,
Kevin
PS - And I've switched them all to be Endnotes and Footnotes, to see if one worked better than the other. They both end up with the same problem.
