Special characters, such as TM, in web page titles
Subject:Special characters, such as TM, in web page titles From:John Posada <jposada99 -at- gmail -dot- com> To:List, Techwriter <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Tue, 8 Feb 2011 12:22:22 -0500
Hi, guys...what does the collective say about whether it is proper or
not to put cgaracters such as TM in web page titles.
I'm against it and prefer to put the special character on the first
instance of the term in the body, but I have some people here who are
taking "first instance" literally.
I'm without my style guide books...does MMoS or Chicago give an
opinion on this? I did a quick search but didn't find anything
defintive.
