working on docs, the biggest "software design fault" in Word is its default to
creating new styles on the fly and its inability to solidly lock a template
against user changes. Every scheme I've ever tried to create a foolproof
unchangable Word template has eventually encountered someone who is a more
resourceful fool than I can anticipate.
