Job Description:
The selected candidate will support a project to design, develop, and
integrate a multi-tiered Microsoft .NET based web application, which will
replace a legacy information system.
Gathers, analyzes, translates, and composes technical information into
clear, readable documents to be used by technical and nontechnical
personnel. Composes technical documents, including user’s manuals, training
materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. Edits functional
descriptions, system specifications, user’s manuals, special reports, or any
other customer deliverables and documents. Conducts research and ensures the
use of proper technical terminology.
More specifically, this position is responsible for:
- Documentation pertaining to all user requirements including
system, security, data, and performance.
- Generating an end user manual for training purposes.
- Assisting with other documentation related to design/engineering
including CONOPS documentation.
- Capturing and publishing meeting minutes.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and 4
years of relevant experience; the degree requirement may be substituted with
an additional 4 years of experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player (team oriented) and willing to follow
directions, as well as take initiative.
The candidate must be able to attain a Transportation Security
Administration Public Trust credential. U.S. citizenship required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, or Access.
- Experience with photo editing software.
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
