Change "consultant" to "technical writer", and modify a couple of the other nouns to match, and the resulting paragraph would be equally true.
I suggest that you let your consultants consult, and hire a writer to write (or maybe just an editor to edit, if you're lucky).
Or fire your consultants and get a batch of new ones who also happen to be better writers.
