Subject:Frame 9 on a MAC From:Roberta Hennessey <rahennessey -at- gmail -dot- com> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Wed, 12 Oct 2011 09:36:03 -0400
I am considering purchasing a new laptop. I have Frame 9 and RoboHelp at
home and would like to be able to load Frame 9 and RoboHelp onto this
laptop. The software is now resident on my 32 bit (I believe) desktop.
Has anyone had any experience running Frame 9 and RoboHelp on the VMware on
a Mac?
Does it matter if the laptop I purchase has 32 bit or 64 bit?
I've also looked at the option of purchasing a refurbished Latititude (Dell)
laptop on buy.com. Has anyone had any purchasing experience with these
refurbished laptops? Or can they recommend another site that's reliable?
I'm also wondering if it's a problem, could I VPN into my desktop from my
laptop using a freeware like Citrix? Any experience with this approach?
Thank you for your advice and suggestions.
