So I received a logo spec sheet that gave the CMYK colors for several logo elements. And since Iâm using those colors in my Word docs (for headings and bullets), I need to specify the colors in RGB. I thought the easiest way would be to use a CMYK-to-RGB converter, and a quick google search shows many to choose from. But...
When I use these converters, the resultant RGB value colors donât look anything like what they ought to!
I have an easy work around (opened the AI file, changed the document mode from CMYK to RGB, and simply examined the swatches to see what the real RGB values should be), so everything is looking great in the Word doc. But...
Iâd like to understand what those online converters are actually doing? I tried several and they all gave me the same results, so Iâm sure theyâre not âwrongâ, but theyâre obviously not meant to do what I needed.
So does anyone understand what are those converters are for?
