Subject:Index or Source List of Techwriting Tools? From:Nancy Allison <maker -at- verizon -dot- net> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Wed, 07 Dec 2011 14:02:08 -0600 (CST)
I am being asked to investigate available documentation development tools, by which I mean tools that, by themselves or in combination with another tool, can create print documents, online help, and possibly someday things like i-Phone apps.
I am already writing up our requirements; I also need to find what tools are in use so that, after our requirements are complete, I can evaluate what's out there.
I can make up a lengthy list off the top of my head, but I'm afraid I'm unaware of everything that is in use.
Do you know of any web site or publication that might have created an index or master list of doc tools that are in use in our field?
