It turns out the PDF I'm looking at gives PScript5.dll version 5.2 as the application.
 
A quick Google search tells me:
"The module pscript5.dll is the postscript engine for printers used in Microsoft 2000, Microsoft XP Home Edition, Windows Server 2003, and other x64 and x86 operating systems."
Is this a dead end, or is it possible to figure out what applications use this dll? Under what circumstances would a PDF list this dll as the application, instead of Word, Frame, XMetal, or some other application?
