Subject:Re: MS OneNote uses for tech comm From:Tony Chung <tonyc -at- tonychung -dot- ca> To:Bill Swallow <techcommdood -at- gmail -dot- com> Date:Tue, 10 Jan 2012 08:09:59 -0800
I sent Nancy full details on my OneNote usage, and alluded to MS and
Apple ostritch necking that destroyed what could have been an amazing
app.
Evernote is more flexible, cross-platform, and capable of working with
the same media types as OneNote. I don't know if EverNote indexes
audio or handwritten notes for search, and handwriting/drawing and
document structuring are only available on the mobile platforms.
Until recently I'd been reporting issues to EverNote about the iPhone
app inserting non-breaking spaces into my notes. This made it
difficult to work with as a text brainstorming tool on iPhone because
the lines kept getting wonky, and threw me off my rhythm.
But now all that is fixed.
