Someday, I want to put minor, deliberate errors in a document and offer a reward to the readers who catch them.

I once worked for a senior manager that told me that Technical Writers write. The engineers would supply all the images I would need and all I needed to worry about was putting them in the manuals. Of course, there were no templates for the manuals and the engineers couldn't figure out how to take images that were in focus. This same manager disappeared from the company roster one day and I was given full reign to revamp the company documentation. Life got a lot better and (patting myself on the back), the manuals improved to a point where customers were actually using them again.
How do I know they were using them? They were emailing me corrections.
