Sydney is about 1300 or more miles from Auckland. They are more culturally
close than geographically. The cultural closeness is most evident when
their residents travel to the US, and get asked, "So where in England are
you from?"
Other countries to lump together:
Norway, Denmark & Sweden
Netherlands & Belgium
Russia and all the other former Soviet entities
Latin America
Maine and New Brunswick
