I have probably have received messages from successor companies that failed
to inform me that I had previously subscribed to a company they acquired,
but since they failed to inform me, I never knew and didn't prevent my mail
reader from reporting their unrecognized company to the spammer databases
it uses to filter incoming mail.
As I said, they did it to themselves.
