... Even here in Seattle I've seen my pay go down. And I can easily imagine being desperate enough to take a $13/hr technical editing job, if that's all I could find.
I cannot afford to take that kind of job. I routinely can make that much money (13*40) or more in a single weekend if the weather is good, but only if I don't have to hire someone to manage the farm while I'm on a "day" job.
