For our software user manuals in the medical HW realm, I used real names of
my past ancestors (none of whom were named "John Smith" or "Jane Doe").
No one has said "boo" about it, although there are likely real peeps having
those names somewhere in the world. The chances of there ever being a
matchup, however—or anyone caring—are somewhere between zero and nil, IMO.
