The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
So I just bought IA Writer for my iPad. It provides a writing
workspace without any bells and whistles except a word and character
counter. It's the closest thing to a blank sheet of paper.
It's extremely liberating to write in a monospace environment free
from structure, formatting, and auto correct. Now I can focus more on
the words, and worry less about meeting some DTD or schema, or
wondering "what will Word do to me now?"
