Re: Help with a term
Those of you who are U.S. taxpayers will be happy to know that this bureau automated exact copies of the paper forms quite a while ago, using then-current technology, and accepts them electronically. They no longer accept paper forms except under a small specific set of unusual circumstances.
I knew this was government, it also had a vibe of federal government. It reminds me of when I worked on CMS forms. Healthcare providers would send data to a company that would clean-up and process the data. The data was processed in database forms and submitted to CMS. I automated many manual, mostly duplicated, processes while preparing as-is documentation and providing re-engineering suggestions.
