Thanks, Sally. From here in the US, I still see many options available
for the physical switches on USB drives.

Switches that would write-protect a drive used to be standard. Now they
are hard to find. They do still exist, though.

I'm in China, so the range of brands available to me is probably
different than yours. What I use is the 4G version of this:
