Subject:Display measurement standard with abundant humor From:Paul Goble <pgcommunication -at- gmail -dot- com> To:TECHWR-L <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Wed, 6 Jun 2012 12:02:54 -0500
The new display measurement standard from the International Committee for
Display Metrology and the Society for Information Display takes an unusual
approach to "This page was intentionally left blank." I'm accustomed to
seeing humor in RFC's, but not in stodgy metrology standards. I think the
self-conscious humor is a nice touch, though I don't think I'd ever do
something so controversial in any of my documents.
(By the way, in between the psychophysics in-jokes, the standard includes
lots of interesting stuff for anyone interested in the technical aspects of
human vision and information display.)
